وفي سياق أخر علق الدكتور طارق شوقي وزير التربية والتعليم أن ملف تحسين الثانوية العامة، الذي تم رفضه من قِبل مجلس الشيوخ سابقًا، في طريقه للعرض مرة أخرى على المجلس، مناشدًا أولياء أمور الطلاب توصيل رغباتهم في هذا الشأن إلى نوابهم.
جاء ذلك في رد من الوزير على جروب «الواتس آب» الذي يتواصل من خلاله أولياء الأمور، وقال "اقترحنا الفكرة، ورفضها مجلس الشيوخ،وسوف نعرضها مرة أخرى قريبًا، وياريت تكونوا مهتمين بتوصيل رغبتكم إلى نواب دوائركم في مجلس النواب ومجلس الشيوخ».
